Job summary

Harmonic Drive Group is seeking an accounting professional to support general accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, inventory review and cost/manufacturing analyses. You will collaborate with multiple departments and work under the Controller.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting or related fields, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP manufacturing systems. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Beverly, MA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and closing.
• Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end.
• Support inventory reconciliation and cycle counts.
• Analyze balance sheet, P&L, and department reports.
• Assist audits and ad hoc analyses.

Summary / Objective

Under the supervision of the Controller, we are looking for an accounting professional with interest in general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, Inventory review/audit) cost and manufacturing. Proven analytical and communication skills. Works independently as well as in a team setting, will communicate with various departments within the company.

Accounting

• Assist in multiple phases of corporate accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, and closing process
• Assist with reconciling and preparing journal entries for month end and year end process
• Assist on the accounts receivable side with customer inquiries
• Help maintain balance sheet, P&L, and departmental support
• Assist with inventory reconciliation, investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze perpetual inventory locations for accuracy and valuation through performing cycle count audits
• Identifies improvements for internal processes and controls
• Assist with preparation of schedules for mid-year and year end audits
• Ad hoc analyses and projects, as needed

Requirements

• Understanding of ERP manufacturing system
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills strong in Excel.
• Excellent communication, strong analytical, problem solving, and computer skills required.
• Ability to interface with members of other departments and corporate staff.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
