Job summary

Erickson Senior Living, headquartered in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Resident Capital Team. This role supports communities with general ledger entries, account analysis, reconciliations and reporting while upholding strong accounting controls.

You will contribute to monthly closes, ensure accuracy in journal postings, and help prepare work papers. We offer growth opportunities, a hybrid work schedule with two remote days, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience (Education will be considered in lieu of experience)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with a general ledger system

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly close process, ensuring all reporting deliverables are completed on schedule
• Review and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Prepare assigned work papers and reconciliations
• Review internal financial statements, including variance analysis
• Support monthly cash accounting activity, wires, receipts, and bank reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with established policies

Location:

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll support our communities or corporate departments with general ledger entries, account analysis, reconciliations and reporting, while maintaining an environment of strong accounting controls. By understanding your customers’ needs and expectations, you’ll ensure strong customer satisfaction while providing accurate and timely reporting.

Compensation:

$70,000 - $80,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus
