Job summary

CFS in Avon, CT is seeking a Staff Accountant to record day-to-day accounting and support the month-end close. You will work with a collaborative team to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.

This role offers growth opportunities, mentorship, and exposure to core accounting functions including AP/AR, reconciliations, and monthly close, in a stable, office-based environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Record and review day-to-day accounting activity to keep the general ledger complete and accurate.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other core accounting functions as needed.
• Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies to support accurate financial records.
• Contribute to the monthly close by completing assigned entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and providing accounting information for internal review.
