Job summary

Creekstone Farms Premium Beef LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on processing cattle payments, daily USDA market reporting, freight payable processing, and general accounts payable tasks.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree (bachelor's preferred) and at least two years of accounting experience, with strong accuracy, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required or equivalent experience; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible basic accounting experience.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information while meeting stringent deadlines.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash transactions and approve transfers.
• Process weekly operations expense journal entries.
• Analyze and process credit card receipt transactions.
• Complete and evaluate monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Complete weekly CAPEX spending analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset subledger and all fixed asset transactions.
• Serve as backup for other accounting positions.
• Other duties as assigned.

An industry leader in premium Black Angus beef seeks a motivated individual looking for an opportunity to put his or her accounting experience to use in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for processing cattle payments, daily USDA market reporting, freight payable processing and general accounts payable processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor daily cash transactions and approve transfers
• Process weekly operations expense journal entries
• Analyze and process credit card receipt transactions
• Complete and evaluate monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete weekly CAPEX spending analysis
• Maintain fixed asset subledger and all fixed asset transactions
