Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Building & Grounds Supervisor for the Camp Randall Stadium Complex. You will supervise day-to-day operations, including cleaning, upkeep, repairs, and staff supervision to support athletic department staff and athletes.

You will also direct event setup, game-day duties, and coordinate with outside vendors on capital projects. The role requires strong supervisory, scheduling, safety, and communication skills, with a stake in procurement and project

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles of supervision and the ability to supervise skilled and semi-skilled employees.
• Experience planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and supervising multiple projects and assignments
• Knowledge of operations, maintenance, repair and installation of building mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as preventative maintenance programming.
• Knowledge of health and safety codes applicable to buildings and grounds.
• Knowledge of effective public relations, oral and written communication, and building productive working relationships.
• Administrative management skills including budgeting, planning, cost analysis, purchasing, materials management, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and oversees hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance.
• Schedules logistics and secures resources for projects.
• Communicates unit goals and implements policies with training and safety focus.
• Develops and schedules unit operational work plans.
