Responsibilities

• Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up assigned bars; stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, glassware, ice and garnishes.
• Maintains stock and prepares garnishes, juices and perishables to ensure quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Takes and processes drink orders; mixes and presents drinks per recipes; controls portions.
• Checks IDs at the bar.
• Detects and acts on guest intoxication; knows liquor laws.
• Receives cash, makes change, verifies charges, records transactions.
• Locks up and stores beverages, food, equipment and cash drops; secures bank.
• Performs cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards; keeps area neat.
• Arranges bottles/glasses to create an attractive bar display.
