Job summary

Trinidad Benham Corporation in Mineola, TX is seeking a dedicated Stack­er to prepare packaged product for shipment on a fast-paced packaging line. You will assemble cases and pallets, ensure accuracy, and lift up to 50lbs while maintaining GMP and SQF safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Pack correct products and quantities for shipment into boxes according to orders.
• Construct boxes/containers.
• Stack finished boxes onto pallets safely and efficiently.
• Place month sticker and production tag on each pallet.
• Ensure supplies are available for the Packaging Machine Operator.
• Complete pallet tags and required paperwork.
• Transport packaging materials to production area.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Assist machine operators during downtime and loading materials.
• Comply with GMP and SQF procedures and document safety forms.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Stackers get our packaged product ready for our customers by putting together cases and pallets. Stackers must be safety-minded, have good attention to detail and must be able to lift up to 50lbs continuously.

Essential Functions:

• Packs the correct product and number of bagged products into boxes according to customer orders for shipment.
• Constructs boxes or containers.
• Stacks finished boxes onto pallets safely and efficiently.
• Places month sticker and product production tag on each pallet.
• Ensures supplies are readily available for the Packaging Machine Operator.
• Completes required paperwork such as pallet tags.
• Transports needed packaging materials to the production area.
• Breaks up unusable packaged product when required.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• During downtime, ensure the cleanliness of the work area and/or assist other machine operators.
• Assists machine operator with loading packaging material onto machine.
• Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms and safety policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

WHAT WE NEED

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to follow directions
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced, labor intensive manufacturing environment
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel
• Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed
• Display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel
