Job summary

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets is seeking an EXPERIENCED horse person to assist with all horse duties on-site. You will support turn-out/turn-in, welfare checks, blanket changes, mucking stalls, paddock maintenance, water bucket care, and basic farm upkeep.

Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and work a split shift. Schedule includes 7-10 and 3-5, with no on-site housing available for staff.

Qualifications

• Experienced horse person required for all horse duties.

Responsibilities

• Turn-out and turn-in for horses.
• General welfare checks.
• Blanket changes.
• Muck stalls and clean paddocks.

Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds and keep up with horses. Split shift schedule. 7-10 and 3-5 ideally.
