Sewanee University is seeking a Barn Support role to assist with daily horse care and facility operations on our campus. The hourly position offers starting pay and direct supervision while performing feeding, watering, turnout, and stable maintenance.
You will assist with farm equipment, paddocks, arenas, and storage buildings; work weekends and holidays as needed; a valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.
University Starting Wage $15.00 per hour.
Support Barn Manager in the daily horse care and facility operations.
This position receives direct supervision in which assignments and instructions are clearly and regularly explained. Completed assignments are routinely reviewed by supervisor for correctness.
Performance of the essential duties of this position is dependent upon independent ingenuity and developmental efforts.
Operate farm equipment
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-2 years of related experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
Work is generally completed outside.
