Job summary

Ford is seeking an experienced Supplier Technical Assist­ance (STA) engineer for Interiors to industrialize and manage Quality and Capacity of interior commodities at Tier 1 suppliers. You will lead the launch and in‑series production for IPs, seats, door trim, headliners, and more across BEV and ICE programs.

Responsibilities include driving flawless launches, capacity studies, PPAP compliance, and continuous manufacturing improvements with Ford and supplier teams. Travel up to 75% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent.
• Knowledge of interior commodities manufacturing processes (injection/blow molding, assembly).
• Strong problem solving and quality systems knowledge.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive flawless launches at supplier sites with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct onsite evaluation visits for priority commodities on new programs.
• Support capacity studies and review PPAP requirements.
• Drive capacity uplift actions with suppliers and monitor PPAP milestones.
• Ensure compliance with quality and process discipline through PFMEA, SPC and related tools.
• Lead supplier site evaluations and risk assessment for new sourcing.
