• Contact doctors for narcotic prescriptions to obtain necessary documentation within required timeframes.
• Assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure timely processing.
• Enter new orders and fill uptakes in a timely, accurate manner.
• Prioritize system orders based on assigned priority levels.
• Prepare backup pharmacy orders.
• Follow regulations regarding medication labeling and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide pharmacists with records concerning alerts and interactions.
• Triage customer support requests by department, urgency, and response time.
• Collect and sort incoming faxes to appropriate department.
• Create and maintain accurate customer statistics.
• Coordinate the STAT order system and related tasks.
