Job summary

Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, IA seeks a Clinic Registered Nurse (0.9 FTE) to manage nursing care and support clinical staff. The RN will help implement policies and ensure high-quality patient care within the clinic.

Starting pay is $27.58/hr for ADN and $28.58/hr for BSN, with increases based on experience; shifts Mon-Fri 7am-5pm, Sat 8am-12pm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Iowa.
• ACLS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintains BLS/CPR certification.
• Completes Mandatory Reporting within 6 months of hire and renews every 5 years.
• Develops competency to provide care within the unit.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage nursing care essential to assessment, promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patient's health.
• Direct and support nursing/clinical staff providing patient care within the facility.
• Evaluate, revise, and implement clinical policies and procedures for safe, efficient quality nursing care.
• Maintain clinical staff education records and perform staff functions.

About The Job:

The Clinic Registered Nurse is responsible for managing nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patient's health and wellness within their scope of practice. The Clinic Registered Nurse will direct and support nursing/clinical personnel providing patient care within the facility as assigned by the Clinic Director or RN Supervisor. This includes the evaluation, revision, and implementation of clinical policies and procedures related to the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care; maintenance of clinical staff personnel and education records; in-services and performs Clinical Staff functions.

The Position:

.9 FTE 72 hours per pay period.

Pay:

Starts at $27.58 for ADN and $28.58 for BSN, both increase with experience.

Shift:

Monday-Friday, varies between 7am to 5pm. Saturday 8am to 12pm.

Position Qualifications:

1. Education:
1. Graduate of an accredited program in professional nursing.
2. Current R.N. licensure in the State of Iowa.
3. ACLS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
4. PALS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
2. Experience:
1. Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred.
3. Special Skills & Aptitudes:
1. Verbal and written communication skills.
2. Demonstrates knowledge and support for the principles of customer relations in daily activities with others.
3. Maintains certification in BLS/CPR.
4. Completes Mandatory Reporting requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
5. Develops competency to provide care within the assigned unit to the population described in the scope of care.
6. Must have basic computer skills.
