American Express in Phoenix is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to contribute to the AuthBlue SSO platform, delivering secure authentication and IAM capabilities across applications.

You will develop frontend and backend components, APIs, and integrations, apply secure coding practices, participate in CI/CD and Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with cybersecurity and product teams to meet security objectives.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng/Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Familiar with Git workflows and RESTful APIs.

Responsabilidades

• Develops frontend and backend components of the AuthBlue SSO platform, contributing to secure, reliable, and scalable authentication and identity services.
• Implements features, technical enhancements, application integrations, and defect resolutions with guidance from more experienced engineers.
• Develops RESTful APIs, services, integrations, and data access components for authentication, authorization, identity, and SSO capabilities.
• Writes readable, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code and participates in code reviews.
• Participates in the software development lifecycle, including requirements refinement, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Applies secure software development practices, including authentication/authorization controls and protection of sensitive data.
• Troubleshoots issues across frontend and backend components, APIs, and integrations to identify root causes.
• Contributes to automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and software delivery practices.
• Collaborates with engineers, cybersecurity teams, product partners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver secure solutions.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation and participates in Agile team activities.
