American Express seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer I to build and strengthen secure software capabilities for the AuthBlue Single Sign-On (SSO) platform, enabling authentication and IAM across applications company-wide.

This onsite role in Phoenix, AZ partners with frontend and backend engineers, security teams, and product stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable authentication solutions with robust testing and observability.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 2–4 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficient with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with Git and code reviews.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTTP, JSON.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, data structures, testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile practices.
• Understanding of IAM and application security basics.
• Ability to collaborate and learn quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, enhance, test, and support secure software solutions for the AuthBlue SSO platform, enabling authentication and IAM for applications throughout the organization.
• Contribute to cybersecurity-focused software engineering across frontend and backend components, including APIs, integrations, and supporting services.
• Deliver product features and technical enhancements by resolving software defects and applying secure development practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity teams, product partners, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned to authentication, authorization, and identity security objectives.
