Job summary

PMAT is seeking an SSDS Maintenance Technician to support the U.S. Navy Ship Self Defense System on site at Wallops Island, VA.

You will perform organizational-level maintenance, diagnose faults, and execute preventive and corrective actions on SSDS hardware and software, ensuring mission readiness. The role requires a DoD security clearance, strong teamwork, and experience with SSDS configurations and OA tech refreshes; candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent SSDS maintenance

Qualifications

Seven years of experience maintaining SSDS equipment.
Experience performing organizational-level maintenance on SSDS systems.
Experience with SSDS OA Tech Refresh MODs configurations.
Ability to document maintenance actions following procedures.
Strong communication within a team supporting mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

Perform organizational-level corrective and preventive maintenance on SSDS equipment.
Diagnose hardware and software faults affecting SSDS performance.
Monitor SSDS MK 2 OA Tech Refresh configurations.
Document actions, discrepancies, and system status per Navy requirements.
Support testing, troubleshooting, and verification after maintenance.
Coordinate with government personnel and engineers to resolve issues.
Maintain safety and adherence to manuals, CM, and quality standards.
Contribute to mission readiness by ensuring system availability.
