Job summary

PMAT is seeking an SSDS Legacy Maintenance Technician to sustain the U.S. Navy Ship Self Defense System configurations and support operational/test environments at customer facilities in Wallops Island, Virginia.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of demonstrated SSDS maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hardware, software, and configurations.
• Experience reading technical manuals and following procedures.
• Strong teamwork with government and contractor personnel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform organizational-level maintenance on SSDS legacy systems and equipment.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues affecting operational readiness.
• Monitor SSDS configurations to ensure continuous mission capability.
• Document actions and status using Navy maintenance records.
• Support testing and troubleshooting during operations.
• Collaborate with government and logistics teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure safety, cybersecurity, QA, and CM compliance.
