Job summary

US Tech Solutions in Longmont, CO is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support SSD hardware bring-up, firmware validation readiness, and lab operations. This contract role requires onsite presence and focuses on configuring test systems, tracking hardware, and keeping activities aligned with project schedules.

You will work with firmware, validation, platforms, facilities, IT, and operations, performing OS installs, rack setups for 20–30 systems per rack, and routine lab maintenance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware experience with PC and server systems.
• Experience with NVMe/PCIe SSDs.
• Ability to execute test plans and follow procedures.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line.
• Basic scripting in Python or Shell is beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware and lab environments.
• On-site, full-time lab role.

Responsibilities

• Support SSD hardware bring-up and lab readiness for projects.
• Build and maintain NVMe/PCIe SSD test systems and lab infrastructure.
• Run defined test plans and pre-flight checks.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, and power issues.
• Capture diagnostic data and summarize results for engineering analysis.
• Manage lab inventory and asset tracking.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving and internal movement of components.
• Collaborate with engineering, validation, facilities, IT and operations.
• Plan rack allocation and power for future scalability.
• Communicate status, risks, blockers, and dependencies clearly.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions.
• Identify efficiency improvements via automation and scripting.
• Support lab repair workflows and process improvements.
