Job summary

eTeam is seeking a Lab Test Technician in Longmont, CO to support SSD hardware bring-up, firmware testing, and lab operations in a fast-paced engineering setting.

The role requires full-time onsite presence, Mon-Fri during standard hours, with no remote or hybrid options. You will build and troubleshoot NVMe/PCIe test systems, collect diagnostics, document results, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure lab readiness and timely project milestones.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting NVMe/PCIe SSD hardware and system setups.
• Ability to build, configure, and maintain test systems and execute test plans accurately.
• Comfortable performing repetitive manual testing with strong attention to detail.
• Experience assembling/modifying/reassembling PC- or server-based test systems.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking and data organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently using technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support SSD hardware brings-up, configuration, and maintenance across projects.
• Build, configure, and troubleshoot NVMe/PCIe SSD test systems, hosts, and lab infrastructure.
• Execute defined manual test plans with precision and consistency.
• Diagnose hardware and system-level issues; collect logs and diagnostics to aid debugging.
• Document and summarize test results, failures, and observations for engineering analysis.
• Manage lab inventory, shipping, receiving, and asset movement.
• Collaborate with firmware, validation, platform, facilities, and operations teams to ensure readiness.
• Communicate task status, risks, and dependencies; deliver on time.
• Participate in SCRUM or agile ceremonies and provide progress updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve lab efficiency through automation and scripting.
• Represent the lab in cross-functional discussions from an operations perspective.
• Assist lab planning for space, power, and rack layout as needed.
