Micron Technology’s SSD Engineering team develops firmware and software technologies powering state-of-the-art SSD products for data center, enterprise, and cloud applications. The SSD Firmware Intern will help design, test, and optimize firmware, gaining hands-on experience in embedded systems, debugging, and software quality.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience through internships, coursework, or projects.
• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming acquired through coursework, projects, internships, or research experience.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, debugging, and software engineering principles.
• Familiarity with generative AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop, test, and enhance SSD firmware functionality using modern software development and AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Debug and resolve firmware issues to improve product performance, reliability, and quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality, maintainability, and development best practices.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate firmware features and support product qualification activities.
• Document firmware features, enhancements, and technical information for internal and external stakeholders.
