Job summary

Empirical is working with a Health-Tech client to build a next-generation platform for pharmacy benefits, delivering real-time insights and exceptional customer experience.

The role targets backend engineers with 5+ years of server-side experience, Golang, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and cloud/container knowledge. Remote/flexible work; compensation in USD; Latin America-based candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, server-side applications, API design, data models, and data processing.
• Proficiency with Golang.
• Relational databases experience with PostgreSQL; schema design and SQL tuning.
• Experience designing scalable APIs with knowledge of design patterns, database architecture, and testing best practices.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, CI/CD, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong English and communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools.

The Opportunity

Our client, a rapidly growing, venture-backed Health-Tech company , is developing a next-generation platform that is transforming how companies administer and manage pharmacy benefits. Their unified technology platform delivers real-time, actionable insights that drive cost savings, power clinical services, and provide an exceptional customer experience.

Your qualifications and experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly on server-side applications, including API design, data models, and data processing

• Golang

• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL , including schema design, SQL tuning, and monitoring. Optionally MySQL or others .

• Strong experience designing and implementing scalable APIs, along with a solid understanding of design patterns, database architecture, and testing best practices

• Working knowledge of GraphQL APIs , CI/CD pipelines , AWS , Docker , and Kubernetes is a plus

• Strong English and communication skills

• Familiarity with AI tools
