Job summary

Riley Power group, LLC is seeking Safety Relief Valve Technicians in the US for multiple positions. This role involves inspecting, testing, refurbishing and installing safety relief valves across various sites, with emphasis on quality workmanship and documentation.

The candidate will handle bench testing, offsite refurbishment, and detailed reporting while meeting site-specific procedures and safety standards. Occasional travel and pre-employment screenings may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years industrial relief valve repair experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties.
• Experience repairing various valves and actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, electric).
• Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedures; write reports; speak before groups.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and refurbish safety and relief valves of various manufacturers and sizes.
• Perform bench tests (set-point, seat leakage, bellows) and offsite work as required.
• Refurbish components: lapping discs/nozzles and complete valve overhauls.
• Machining of nozzles; document all findings in site reports.
• Prepare valves for off-site shipment and re-install after testing.

W e are currently hiring a skilled Safety Relief Valve Technicians f or multiple positions in the US . Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:

• -Inspections, testing, and refurbishment of safety related and non-safety related safety and relief valve sizes of different manufacturers including power operated relief valves.

• -Inspections, including but are not limited to, evaluation of overall condition, determination of internal parts condition and usability, identification of service induced conditions such as over-pressurization, chatter, wear, binding, etc., detailed inspection of parts, preparation of sketches (as needed) and complete and concise documentation of findings via appropriate Purchaser Site documents and procedures.

• -Testing to include removal from system, bench test (set-point, seat leakage, and bellows) in accordance with appropriate procedures and current station codes, current Site procedures and codes. In certain cases, valves will be tested and refurbished offsite by other organizations. In these cases, scope to include removal of valves, preparation of valves for off-site shipment, and reinstallation into system following return from test facility.

• -Refurbishment, including but not limited to:

• -Lapping of discs and nozzles

• -Complete valve overhauls

• -Machining of nozzles.

• -Detailed documentation of all inspections, testing work performed shall be included in the work reports via appropriate Purchaser Site documents and procedures.

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years industrial relief valve repair experience, or an equivalent number of years of education and experience.

• Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties.

• Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic or electric.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: P ractical skills, othermedical, psychological (if required by site) , background and substance abuse screening(s).

Physical Requirements

Lifting objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transporting a distance of 10 feet.
