Riley Power group, LLC in Waterford, CT seeks a Lead Supervisor to oversee field crews on nuclear maintenance projects across the US. You will ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans and purchaser procedures.

The role includes supervising crews, coordinating with support groups, validating inspections, and ensuring readiness and compliance with ASME requirements. Occasional outage leadership may be required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2–5 years of valve repair experience.
  • Familiar with tools and machinery used for daily valve repair duties.
  • Experience repairing valves and actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic or electric).
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions and diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • -Provide direct field supervision to crews.
  • -Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with contracts and procedures.
  • -Review and approve scope of work for each job to ensure repairs address identified problems.
  • -Coordinate with Purchaser procedures and site technical requirements.
  • -Ensure all QC hold points are satisfied and documentation completed.
  • -May serve as Lead Supervisor during outages while ensuring safety compliance.

W e are currently hiring a skilled Lead Supervisor for multiple positions in the US . Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:
  • -Ensure all Work is performed safely, is technically correct and in accordance with Contract and all Purchaser procedures and programs.
  • -Provide direct field supervision to crews.
  • -Perform Work in accordance with the Site Plan of the Day (POD)
  • -Ensure all Quality Control hold points are satisfied.
  • -Verify and approve all (100%) seat acceptance checks (blue, paper, etc.)
  • -Resolve production issues.
  • -Review and approve scope of work for each job to ensure work adequately repairs identified problem.
  • -Prior to installation, ensure all parts adhere to Purchaser's material control program and are traceable to procurement document. Ensure all ASME Section XI pressure retaining parts satisfy program requirements prior to installation by obtaining Section XI evaluations in accordance with Purchaser procedures.
  • -Obtain Purchaser approval prior to starting job if adequate parts are not available.
  • -Ensure Site Operations Department approval to start each Work Order after clearance is issued.
  • -Coordinate with support groups for scaffolding, insulation, clearances, etc.
  • -Identify areas where additional technical direction is required .
  • -Verify clearances are adequate prior to starting job.
  • -Identify potential parts problems to the Purchaser's Site Technical Representative.
  • -Interface with Purchaser's Site Technical Representative to ensure problems are properly identified and addressed in accordance with Purchaser procedures and policies.
  • -Ensure that all Work Order documentation is completed in a timely manner after work completion as specified by Purchaser.
  • -May be required to serve as Lead Supervisor during nuclear refueling outage while also fulfilling responsibilities as Site Safety Representative, ensuring crew compliance with OSHA, site-specific procedures, and nuclear safety culture while managing day-to-day outage team operations.

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:
  • -High School Diploma or GED and 2-5 years industrial valve repair experience, or an equivalent number of years of education and experience.
  • -Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties.
  • -Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic or electric.
  • -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: P ractical skills, othermedical, psychological (if required by site) , background and substance abuse screening(s).

Physical Requirements

Lifting objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transporting a distance of 10 feet.
