Bluegrass Consulting Ltd is seeking a State Tested Nurse Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant for the day shift in Nicholasville, KY. The role supports professional nursing staff by delivering direct hands-on care to residents and assisting them to maintain independence and a normal lifestyle.

Responsibilities include ADL support, responding to call lights, assisting with admissions/transfers/discharges, and maintaining safety, hydration, nutrition, and infections control.

Qualifications

• Certified and state tested as a State Registered Nurse Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Perform or assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to residents' call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair to dining rooms, lobby and activities.
• Report significant findings/observations to nurse immediately.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge for smooth transitions.
• Safekeep residents' personal possessions.
• Keep resident rooms neat and safe; follow infection control techniques.
• Respect residents' rights, including privacy and confidentiality.
• Re-teach residents to perform ADL skills and provide restorative care to prevent complications.
• Converse with residents and families to aid adjustment to the community.

Position Overview:

The SRNA/CNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The CNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities).
• Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition.
• Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions.
• Keep resident rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques
• Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality.
• Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills.
• Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs.
• Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately.
