Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) Analysis Manager to lead research, architecture, analysis, and test strategies for next‑gen SRM technologies. You will define direction, mentor engineers, and drive best practices across multi‑program initiatives.

Responsibilities include prioritizing deliverables, collaborating with government partners, and producing major technical documentation. Strong leadership and deep SRM analytics experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in fluid, structural, thermal or performance analysis of aerospace systems.
• Experience leading teams of engineering analysts.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and test data.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and interfacing with customers.
• Knowledge of industry standards and analysis methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Resource plan and prioritize program deliverables across a team of analysts.
• Provide strategic technical direction and mentorship across projects.
• Lead collaboration with government partners to advance SRM development.
• Develop processes for analysis standards, documentation, and traceability.
• Produce technical documents, reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Lead failure investigations and assist in deviations closures.
• Deliver technical briefings and findings to internal and external customers.
• Provide cross-team leadership and capability development.
