Job summary

UNFPA is seeking a Program Associate - SRH to support SRH interventions in OPT, including midwifery components, with needs assessment, intervention design, implementation, and monitoring. The role involves coordinating with partners, developing workplans and budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of program activities across Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Gaza.

Qualifications

A first-level university degree in midwifery, Health Policy, or a related healthcare/social science field is highly desirable.
Alternatively, Secondary Education with three years of qualifying experience may be considered in lieu of the first-level degree.
Minimum four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree; seven years with secondary education.

Responsibilities

Formulate the country program and projects; draft documents, work plans, and monitor/evaluate activities.
Develop SRH policies and workforce strategies focusing on midwifery; conduct gap analyses and plan implementation.
Strengthen quality standards and regulatory frameworks for SRH services; review scope of practice and service standards.
Organize technical consultations and trainings; document actions and follow up on implementation.
Support advocacy and donor relations; prepare background materials for meetings and public events.
