Job summary

UNFPA is seeking a Programme Associate to support design, planning and management of country programmes in population, reproductive health and gender. The role involves data inputs, logistics, monitoring, and following up on recommendations.

You report to the Assistant Representative or Programme Specialist/Analyst and contribute to knowledge management while coordinating with national counterparts and partners to advance programme results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in population, health, gender, social sciences, project management or related field.
• Seven years of relevant programme/project management experience.
• Proficiency in current office software applications; IT systems experience is a plus.
• Experience with government and NGOs is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in formulation of country programme and project documents, work plans and data tables.
• Support evaluation of activities, arrange field visits and prepare status updates.
• Coordinate project delivery with national counterparts and ensure training participation.
• Provide logistical support for project meetings and events; mentor staff on policies.
• Support donor relations and information events, preparing background material.
• Contribute to knowledge management by sharing lessons learned for planning.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor or senior UNFPA management.
