Job summary

IBM Software in Lowell, MA is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer Intern to join an agile, collaborative team. You will build, deploy, configure, and maintain systems for IBM client businesses, leading the problem resolution process from analysis to applying latest software updates and fixes.

In this internship, you’ll work across 24x7 observability, collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot production issues, deploy services via CI/CD, and assist with security patches and production support

Qualifications

Experience with monitoring/observability and incident response.
Automation for production environment changes; reduce toil.
Linux administration and operations knowledge.
Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash.
Familiar with cloud providers (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

24x7 Observability: monitor production systems and services around the clock.
Cross-Functional Troubleshooting: collaborate with engineering to diagnose issues.
Deployment and Configuration: use CI/CD tools to deploy services and changes.
Maintenance and Support: apply security patches and assist with issue resolution.
