Job summary

SAP in Montreal is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join an established SRE team supporting cloud services for the SAP Business AI Platform. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and automate to ensure high availability and performance. The role emphasizes collaboration with development teams and ongoing learning in modern cloud technologies.

You will participate in on-call rotations and contribute to postmortems and product improvements, while building robust monitoring and automation tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Proficient with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Scripting and automation enthusiasm; CI/CD experience.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical expert during live site incidents and investigate issues.
• Drive root cause analyses and implement preventive improvements.
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and log analysis to resolve complex issues.
• Build software-based solutions to improve reliability and stability.
• Enhance monitoring by collecting metrics and improving recovery tooling.
• Collaborate with development teams and act on Postmortem outputs.
• Learn new technologies and stay updated with increments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Define, advocate and apply SRE best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation with a special compensation package.
