Job summary

Stand8 Technology Consulting seeks an SRE Data Engineer to help build a new enterprise data environment for a global media and entertainment organization. The role starts with ServiceNow data and expands into analytics, automation, and future AI capabilities.

You will work with Python and SQL in AWS/Snowflake environments, collaborating with engineering and business teams to deploy data pipelines and governance, with occasional onsite work around Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and

Qualifications

• 3–5 years building and supporting data engineering, analytics, or integrations.
• Strong Python and SQL, writing and optimizing production code.
• Experience with relational databases or data warehouses and schemas.
• Experience building ETL pipelines for reporting or downstream use.
• Ability to work with APIs and data ingestion processes.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, security, and metadata.
• Experience with version control, automated deployment, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to learn new platforms quickly across technologies.

Responsibilities

• Establish the data warehouse framework, schemas, and data models.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Python and SQL data integrations.
• Build ETL pipelines to convert raw data into structured reporting datasets.
• Integrate ServiceNow data into an external data platform with platform teams.
• Support data flow via S3 and Snowflake; evaluate platform options like Snowflake and RDS.
• Configure APIs and integration methods for reliable data movement.
• Create and enhance reporting views and onboard new datasets.
• Implement data quality checks, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Investigate production issues and improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Apply data governance, security, and metadata management with enterprise teams.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, security, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to code reviews, deployment automation, and technical documentation.
• Prepare datasets for visualization and future AI workflows.
