Job summary

Visa is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the Cloud Platform across IaaS, PaaS and containers. The role emphasizes reliability, automation and AI-powered operations to reduce toil and improve incident response.

You will work with development teams to define SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, runbooks, and production readiness criteria, while supporting a 24/7/365 on-call model that may include weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2+ years in Platform, SRE or Production Engineering for high availability platforms.
• 2 years with CI/CD tooling in large-scale environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps).
• 2 years with observability tooling (Grafana/Prometheus/Splunk/Datadog/New Relic).
• Basic understanding of YAML/JSON/XML; Linux/Windows; scripting in 3+ languages.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain platform SLAs/SLOs through automation and standardization.
• Own end-to-end observability, alerting, and monitoring across IaaS, PaaS, and containers.
• Lead automation and AI-AIOps initiatives to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with development during release reviews to define ops requirements.
• Support platform maintenance and reliability with Operations & Infrastructure peers.
• Address recurring issues by analyzing patterns and proposing solutions.
