Purple, Rock, Scissorsis seeking a highly skilled Visual UX Designer to support one of our large tech clients on a high-impact, mid-year engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a systems-minded designer who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership of complex initiatives, and executes with both strategic thinking and polished craft.

This role sits within a multidisciplinary product team of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers — all deeply committed to delivering meaningful, scalable digital experiences. You’ll contribute not just to individual features, but to the broader visual language and design systems that power cohesive product ecosystems.

We’re looking for someone who can move confidently from concept to production-ready execution, advocate for user needs, and elevate experience quality across surfaces.

Fully Remote role. PST Hours Required. Contract. Full-Time Hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, research, content, product, and engineering partners to deliver thoughtful, user-centered digital product experiences
• Own and drive contributions to visual language systems and design system initiatives
• Create production-ready assets, detailed design specifications, and scalable component solutions
• Clearly communicate UX rationale, user-centered thinking, and design decisions to stakeholders
• Partner with visual design leadership to align priorities and execution strategy
• Translate complex UX concepts into compelling visual designs and presentations
• Produce concepts, wireframes, mood boards, and functional prototypes
• Refine and optimize existing experiences to elevate quality and usability
• Advocate for scalable, system-driven design solutions
• Validate design decisions through feedback, iteration, and collaboration

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design or UX with strong visual design capabilities
• Proven experience contributing to design systems (component design, documentation, scalable patterns)
• Portfolio demonstrating strong interactive and systems-driven design work
• Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and prototyping
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives independently and collaboratively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience presenting design work and articulating rationale clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Motion design skills (nice to have)
• Experience with After Effects
