Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking a Sr. Total Rewards Analyst to administer compensation and benefits programs both domestically and internationally, supporting strategic goals and stakeholder needs.

You will manage Open Enrollment, audits, and plan documents, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. You will analyze workforce data with Excel and AI-enabled tools, driving insights and process improvements across total rewards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits, or related HR functions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and summarize insights clearly.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and sound judgment when working with sensitive employee data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, and other AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, reporting, and productivity.

  • Participate in compensation and benefits surveys and analyze market data to assess competitive positioning.
  • Support salary structure updates, increase budgets, and FLSA exemption reviews.
  • Serve as a benefits subject matter expert and support administration of health, retirement, wellness, and other employee benefit plans.
  • Support in leading open enrollment, employee communications, and education to help employees understand and use available benefits.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to monitor service delivery, program effectiveness, and market competitiveness.
  • Gather and analyze benefits data for billing, audits, compliance testing, filings, committee meetings, and benchmarking.
  • Respond to employee questions and help explain compensation and benefits programs.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to support total rewards communications and program execution.
  • Contribute to projects that improve compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs.
  • Use Excel, reporting platforms, and AI-enabled tools to streamline data preparation, validate accuracy, and analyze workforce and total rewards data for reporting, benchmarking, audits, and business decisions.
  • Analyze trends, identify issues, and use data insights to support problem resolution, process improvements, and total rewards recommendations.
  • Partners with internal and external resources to ensure timely filings, audits and plan document updates according to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop procedures, guides, and training materials to improve efficiency, strengthen system knowledge, and support consistent team and end-user adoption.

Sr. Total Rewards Analyst
Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Total Rewards Analyst at Penguin Solutions to join our HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering compensation and benefits policies and programs both domestically and internationally to support the organization’s business initiatives and strategic goals. This role will serve as a key resource for both internal and external stakeholders to help resolve issues with a high level of customer service; execute project-based work throughout the calendar year, including Open Enrollment and various internal audits; and ensure company compliance with federal and state laws governing both compensation and benefits practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
  • Experience managing global benefits plans in technology companies.
  • Knowledge of 401(k) administration, global total rewards and compliance is a plus.

  • This is a remote position in the United States, with preference for someone hybrid in Durham, NC.

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available.
