Belcan Corporation is seeking a Sr. Test Technician in Simi Valley, CA to perform a range of complex tests on electro and electromechanical equipment.

You will ensure accuracy, productivity, and on‑time delivery while supporting cross‑functional production needs. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and involves setting up test equipment, troubleshooting, and providing root-cause analyses to teams.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Operates test equipment and hand/power tools for testing.
• Communicates clearly with teams and details findings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows software applications.
• Solves complex problems using established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of moderately difficult to complex testing tasks.
• Set up test equipment and conduct tests per specification.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analyses on analog/digital circuitry down to component level.
• Provide detailed written failure descriptions and root cause analyses to production/engineering teams.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to company policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and uphold safety record.
• Assist other departments with tasks across production cells/locations.
• Train less experienced staff.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance; may require nights/weekends/variable schedules.

Job Designation

The Senior Product Test Technician performs a variety of complex tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment. This role ensures accuracy, productivity, and on‑time delivery while supporting cross‑functional production needs.

• Set up test equipment and conduct tests per specification.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions down to the component level.
• Provide detailed written failure descriptions and root cause analyses to production and engineering teams.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and uphold an acceptable safety record.
• Assist other departments with tasks across various production cells/locations.
• Train less experienced staff.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may require nights, weekends, variable schedules, or additional hours.

Job Specifications

• Education- Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma, or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
• Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Years of Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches.
• Skilled in the use of test equipment, hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows software applications.
• Able to solve complex problems in atypical or infrequent situations using established procedures or scientific methods.
