Overview
Senior Test Technician is responsible for providing a high level of technical support by analyzing and resolving complex technical problems requiring advanced circuit analysis and/or software techniques, developing and implementing methods for testing assembled circuit boards using ATE and functional test processes, and training/mentoring manufacturing and technical associates in troubleshooting strategies and techniques.
What you'll do
- Assist in development of test software and fixtures under direction of Test Engineer
- Evaluate and resolve complex problems encountered in test
- Document test processes and troubleshooting procedures
- Provide statistical quality control support for test processes
- Interface with customer technical staff to design and implement test processes
- Train manufacturing and technical associates to perform test processes
- Provide customers with design for testability support
- Provide direct labor to test critical path boards and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in computer systems, including MS Excel (vlookups), Office, and Outlook
- Ability to demonstrate core competencies through the successful completion of Test Technician Exam
- Extensive knowledge in circuit analysis techniques and use of electronic test equipment
- Basic understanding of HP3070 and Flying Probe operation (preferred)
- Familiarity with PC operation and applications
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, C++, VHDL, VB.net or LabVIEW
- Knowledge of SMT assembly and testing
- Demonstrated success in systematic team problem solving and excellent communication/facilitation skills
- Demonstrated creativity, project planning and engineering judgement in solving manufacturing problems
Education And/or Experience
- A minimum of a two year degree in electronics or the equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as electronic technician troubleshooting complex products and sub-assemblies
