Job summary

LCRA is seeking an LTE Network Field Technician Sr to advance our telecom infrastructure in Austin. You will install, troubleshoot, and analyze test results while driving end-to-end network initiatives with minimal supervision.

You’ll collaborate with RF, software, and test engineering teams to meet project timelines, guide builds, and implement scalable solutions. A minimum of five years in related networking tech is expected, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in WAN, MPLS, LAN, Route/Switch, DWDM, RF/Microwave Radio, 700/900MHz Trunked Radio (LMR) and/or LTE.
• A degree in a related field or an industry certification may substitute for some experience.
• Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain LTE network infrastructure and resolve issues to ensure uptime.
• Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with RF, software and test engineering teams to streamline delivery timelines.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with vendors, engineering teams and customers.
• Guide and support engineering through build and integration phases per specifications.
• Work with teams to rollout scalable network solutions.

How You’ll Contribute

• Deploy and maintain LTE network infrastructure and resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime.
• Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend actionable optimizations.
• Partner with cross‑functional RF, software, and test engineering groups to streamline project delivery timelines.
• Diagnose and resolve issues by collaborating closely with vendors, engineering teams and customers.
• Guide and support engineering teams through build and integration phases, ensuring adherence to technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to rollout scalable network solutions.

How You’re Qualified

• Five or more years of experience in one or more of the following networking technologies: WAN, MPLS, LAN, Route/Switch, DWDM, RF/Microwave Radio, 700/900MHz Trunked Radio (LMR) and/or LTE, fiber splicing or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in a related field or an industry professional‑level certification may be substituted for certain years of experience.
• Driver's License.
