Job summary

SimIS Inc. is seeking a Senior Technology Strategy Analyst to provide assessments of how emerging technologies apply to military environments and translate them into practical adoption pathways and evidence-based recommendations.

This on-site role in Virginia requires a strong background in S&T, EDT analysis, and strategic planning. The position focuses on identifying capabilities, developing action plans, IOC/FOC milestones, and coordinating with NATO and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, ICT or closely related field.
• 10 years of experience interpreting future S&T and EDT-related information for military applications.
• 5 years of experience analyzing and developing practical examples of emerging technologies for current and future challenges.
• 5-10 years analyzing technology readiness documentation and developing milestones from IOC to FOC.

Responsibilities

• Identify new EDTs and catalogue existing ones.
• Contribute to deliverables for Technology Advantage enabler development.
• Analyze how TA supports identified WDI Lines of Development.
• Update TA Vision documents for a shared understanding of TA.
• Prepare an initial Action Plan for TA development.
• Support IOC definition.
• Support FOC definition.
• Facilitate TA community of interest with internal NATO and external stakeholders.

Job Description:

SimIS is seeking contract support for the capture, development, architecture, analysis, and quality assurance of capability requirements necessary to adapt to future threats and shape long-term military strategy. To support our customer, SimIS seeks a Senior Technology Strategy Analyst to provide comprehensive assessments of how emerging technologies can be applied within the military environment, including their relevance to current and future conflicts, and how they can be translated into practical examples, adoption pathways, and evidence-based recommendations.

Experience Required:

• Master’s degree in computer science, information and communication technology or closely related scientific or engineering discipline
• 10 years of experience in interpreting future S&T and EDT-related information in order to assess how such technologies may be applied within the military environment and adopted to address current and future operational challenges
• 5 years of demonstrated experience analyzing and developing practical examples of how emerging technologies can be applied to current and future challenges
• 5-10 years of analyzing technology readiness documentation, identifying adoption pathways, and developing key milestones to track when the development of EDT from Initial Operating Capability (IOC) through Final Operating Capability (FOC)

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to identification of new and cataloguing of existing EDTs
• Contribute and provide deliverables to support the further development and production of the Technology Advantage critical enabler
• Analysis of how TA can support identified WDI Lines of Development
• Update of current TA Vision documents to describe a common understanding of TA
• Prepare an initial draft Action Plan for the development of TA
• Support the definition of Initial Operating Capability (IOC)
• Support the definition of Final Operating Capability (FOC)
• Support the creation of a TA community of interest. This will lead to further engagement with internal NATO and external stakeholders
