Job Description

The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, reviewing, and publishing complex documentation. This role involves coordinating, prioritizing, and implementing writing projects, including reviewing and maintaining existing documentation. The position requires collaboration with subject matter experts, trainers, business process analysts, and management to develop and produce necessary materials for new processes and plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop thorough knowledge of tools used at Prime for documentation, such as Microsoft Office, RxCLAIM, Benefit Edit Tool, IBM Notes, CoverMyMeds, Clinical Review Engine, MSA, and Prime Knowledge Resources.
• Write, edit, review, and publish documentation regularly to ensure up-to-date information; update documentation as needed and communicate changes.
• Create new documentation including SOPs, job aids, user guides, training materials, and process flows for new client or process implementations.
• Ensure documentation conforms to department standards in templates, style, and layout.
• Collaborate with SMEs, trainers, and business analysts to support accurate implementation documentation.
• Mentor and coach junior technical writers, lead large work efforts, and support team development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical or process-specific documentation.
• Experience with web-based workflow systems like Confluence, SharePoint, or JIRA.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit, and Teams.
• Strong writing, editing, process, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications
