Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Sr Technical Sourcing Manager to join its Manufacturing & Automotive team. This remote role targets US-based candidates and focuses on strategic sourcing across design, NPI, and cost/risk reduction initiatives.

You will partner with engineering, commodity management, suppliers, and internal operations to improve component readiness, pricing accuracy, and supply chain resilience, while leading supplier qualification and DFM input to optimize costs through milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Advanced PC skills with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate supplier selection and component validation for design, NPI, and cost/risk initiatives.
• Manage BOM pricing through design and production milestones, resolving cost discrepancies.
• Interpret supplier DFM recommendations to guide product and process optimization.
• Lead supplier negotiations and risk mitigation aligned with commodity management.
• Direct team to maintain clean-to-build status across design phases.
• Own supply chain strategy and qualification for NPI components.
• Drive projects focused on cost optimization and quality improvement.

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Technical Sourcing Manager to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.
This role will lead technical sourcing strategy across design, new product introduction, and cost/risk reduction initiatives. The person in this position will partner closely with engineering, commodity management, suppliers, and internal operations teams to improve component readiness, pricing accuracy, and supply chain resilience. A strong focus will be placed on supplier qualification, design-for-manufacturability input, and cost optimization through production milestones.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $126,100 – $227,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate supplier selection and component validation processes for design, NPI, and risk/cost reduction initiatives
• Manage BOM pricing through design and production milestones, resolving cost discrepancies and supply chain impacts
• Solicit and interpret supplier DFM recommendations, guiding product and process optimization
• Lead supplier negotiations and risk mitigation efforts, ensuring alignment with commodity management
• Provide direction to team members to maintain clean-to-build status across design phases
• Own supply chain strategy and supplier qualification processes for NPI components
• Drive supply chain projects focused on cost optimization and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or Supply Chain preferred
• 12+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
• Advanced PC skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and communicate effectively in English
