Technical Program Managers in the AWS Networking organization have a wide range of responsibilities: we work with internal partners to develop and implement the next‑gen infrastructures along with the tooling ecosystems to support these platforms, driving efficiency and scalability through the automation of builds, configuration deployment, and the scaling of capacity. As our network is one of the largest in the world, there is no blueprint at our scale allowing our engineers to develop solutions to the complex challenges that we face daily. We encourage durable solutions that look around corners while taking into consideration our customer needs from a cost, performance, and reliability perspective. Our team owns the tooling and network infrastructure that provides bandwidth within AWS datacenters.
Penrose Networks is the next‑generation datacenter network in AWS. Through a novel architecture based on special mathematical properties, we deliver more resilient, higher‑bandwidth, and lower‑cost networking compared to the current industry standard. Our team has invented this technology, proven its viability, and driven its adoption across AWS. We are currently working to further enlarge the adoption of this technology to a wider set of use cases and locations.
