Job summary

Title: Business Analyst

Location: NY, NY

Duration: Initial 6 months with extension

Compensation: $40/hr

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support digital transformation, business modernization, and AI-enabled initiatives across banking, finance, risk, compliance, and human capital management functions.

This individual will partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic technology solutions, improve operational processes, and support enterprise transformation initiatives within a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support digital transformation, business modernization, and AI-enabled initiatives across banking, finance, risk, compliance, and related business functions.

• Gather, analyze, and document stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into actionable project roadmaps and delivery plans.

• Coordinate activities across business, technology, product, and vendor teams to support successful execution and stakeholder alignment.

• Support product and solution delivery, including testing, UAT, defect management, and implementation activities.

• Develop and maintain project governance materials, including status reporting, RAID logs, executive updates, steering committee materials, and project dashboards.

• Support Generative AI and Conversational AI use cases, implementation efforts, and business adoption.

• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, delivery outcomes, and technology-enabled workflows.

• Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones and proactively support resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 3–6 years of experience in technology transformation, business transformation, project management, business analysis, or consulting.

• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and partnering with both business and technology stakeholders.

• Strong project coordination, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience supporting project governance, reporting, testing/UAT, and implementation activities.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial Services experience within Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Asset Management, or Insurance.

• Experience supporting Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Regulatory, Operational Risk, or Governance initiatives.

• Exposure to Generative AI, Conversational AI, automation, or digital transformation programs.

• Experience working within Agile environments.

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
