Amazon is seeking a Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to design and harden hardware for IT workstations across the fulfillment network. This role focuses on CAD-driven design, BOM creation, and cross-functional collaboration with deployment, supply chain, and field teams.
Based in Nashville, TN, you will travel to sites, validate designs, and ensure milestones align with funding windows. You’ll document processes as we scale from thousands to tens of thousands of stations per year.
We're hiring a Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to build the physical hardware designs that harden IT workstations across Amazon's fulfillment network - 30,000+ stations per year across hundreds of buildings globally.
Your morning might start with a batch of building layouts for 5 sites scheduled to deploy next quarter. You open SolidWorks, pull in the station CAD, and overlay it against each building's floor plan - 3 fit perfectly with our standard components, 1 needs a bracket modification for a column obstruction, and 1 has a cable routing conflict you need to solve. You document the 3 clean fits, design the bracket mod, and flag the cable routing issue for a field assessment next week. After lunch you're on a call with a vendor reviewing first samples against your spec - checking dimensions and material before approving a production run. Later you're updating your milestone tracker because a funding window shifted and two designs need to accelerate. You Slack the deployment engineer to confirm the updated timeline works for their site schedule. Before you leave, you check in with your peer engineer on a shared component that both of your designs use - confirming you're both specifying the same version.
OTS ACES Solution Design owns the physical workstation infrastructure across Amazon's fulfillment network - we design it, deploy it, and prove it works. We're a new team building our engineering processes as we scale from thousands to tens of thousands of stations per year. We value people who bring industry best practices, document their work so others can build on it, and communicate early when something isn't right. Our culture is direct, ownership-driven, and biased toward building systems rather than heroic individual effort.
