This opportunity is supporting a state executive agency’s enterprise modernization initiative and requires a Mid-to-Senior Level BI/Tableau Administrator to ensure the stability, security, and performance of mission-critical reporting and analytics platforms. The BI/Tableau Admin will serve as the primary administrator for Tableau Cloud environments across Development, Test, and Production, managing sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, governance, and security. This individual will be responsible for platform administration, monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, deployments, and user support while partnering with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable reporting solutions. The role also includes supporting Azure SQL Database environments, Azure Data Factory data pipelines, Salesforce-integrated reporting solutions, and MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) integrations that support enterprise analytics. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL and troubleshooting skills, experience supporting enterprise BI ecosystems, and the ability to drive issues from identification through resolution while contributing to best practices, documentation, environment management, and continuous improvement efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.
7+ years of experience administering and supporting Tableau Cloud, Tableau Server, or enterprise BI/reporting platforms.
Experience with Tableau Cloud administration and support.
Experience with Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, and design impacts.
Strong SQL experience with Azure SQL database or similar.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to lead incident resolution, mentor team members, collaborate with architects and developers, and support all phases of the SDLC.
