Job summary

INflow Federal seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join a high-velocity, on-site team in San Diego, developing a Space Ground mission-focused software cloud application. You will design, secure, and manage mission-critical systems across hardened Linux environments and multi-platform authentication domains.

The role requires active DoD Top Secret clearance (SCI preferred), extensive experience in IC/DoD settings, and strong collaboration with customers and teammates to meet cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline.
• 8+ years related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance (SCI preferred).
• Willingness to perform on-site work in San Diego area.

Job Overview

INflow Federal is seeking a experienced, self-motivated Senior Systems Engineer to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. The qualified candidate will support the development and implementation of a Space Ground mission-focused software cloud application. In this position, you’ll design, secure, and manage mission-critical systems that power defense innovation - from hardened Linux environments to multi-platform authentication domains. Your work will directly contribute to safeguarding classified operations while ensuring seamless system performance and compliance with top-tier cybersecurity standards.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. ** Please note that this position is contingent upon contract award **

Required Skills

• Experience with TCPED processes, practices and tools at the IC and/or COCOM level, focusing on tasking and collection (strong preference for SIGINT)
• Understanding of User Interface design and development practices
• Experience with Government contracting for the Space market to include Ground Processing, Command and Control and/or Intelligence Systems
• Experience working on-site with customers and end users in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community
• Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, etc.)
• Experience with UML/SysML modeling tools such as MagicDraw
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Subversion, Git, etc.)
• IC3 experience preferred
• Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes
• Experience with Cloud computing environments ( e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces and geospatial data

Desired Skills

• Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
• Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
• Proficient in statistical analysis methods and tools
• Experience with system integration and test on a UNIX or Linux platform
• Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
• Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
• Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
• Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships)
• Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Good planning and organizational skills

Clearance Requirements

$140,000 - $220,000 a year

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
