Job summary

INflow Federal seeks a Jr Cloud Engineer to join our CORE team, delivering high-quality cloud solutions for our DoD clients. You will maintain cloud infrastructure with a focus on operational efficiency and customer support across a demanding enterprise environment.

Required DoD TS/SCI clearance, 2+ years of related experience, and a background in Linux/DevOps. Expect travel and lifting requirements; we value collaboration, initiative, and strong communication in a fast-paced defense setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a relevant role.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or related field, or 3 additional years of IT experience.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in providing customer-focused technical support.
• Knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, CentOS).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI tools (GitLab CI, Nexus).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Respond to and resolve customer issues, providing top-tier technical support and customer service.
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to support user consumption of applications in the cloud in a sophisticated enterprise environment.

• Continuously monitor supporting application infrastructure to help identify and report on scalability and performance issues.

As a Jr Cloud Engineer, you'll join our Continuous Operations Release Environment (CORE) team, providing high-quality, cost-effective cloud solutions to our clients. You'll be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and customer support.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in providing customer-focused technical support.
• Knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, CentOS).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and continuous integration tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Nexus).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Required Clearance

• Active DoD TS/SCI

$115,000 - $145,000 a year

This is the likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Certification Requirements

Most of our contracts require DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) compliance. We built 8140.study - our certification training platform - to help. This helps you study for certifications such as the CompTIA Security+.
