Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Training Systems to support the TCTS II / ATLaS program at Patuxent River NAS in Lexington Park, MD.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
• BS/BA plus 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for an MS/MA.
• At least 10 years in an engineering role, with 3 years in DoD systems.
• Demonstrated engineering expertise in a related area.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communications and teamwork in a collaborative environment.
• Active TS clearance; TS/SCI eligibility is a plus; US citizenship required.

• Lead programmatic or technical efforts, designing and testing engineering solutions.
• Apply systems engineering methods to develop advanced, complex systems.
• Assist with the LVC architecture.
• Address questions on LVC elements (aircraft, simulations, synthetic threats).
• Establish configuration-control processes for interfaces between the TCTSII ground system and models/constructive software.
• Establish configuration-control processes for interfaces between the TCTSII system and the aircraft.
• Plan PMA-205 portions of the LVC CRD and guide the engineering development of modern complex systems.

Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Sr. Systems Engineer – Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Training Systems to support the Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II) / ATLaS program within the Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office (PMA-205) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-205 provides full lifecycle acquisition of naval aviation platforms and general training systems, training range instrumentation systems, and distributed mission training centers. The TCTS II is a next generation secure, Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) enabling, air combat training system that offers realistic threat scenarios and secure cross-service training. This is a full man-year position (1,920 hours). This position is hybrid with local telework and on-site at NAS Patuxent River as required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization, identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems
• Employs systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems
• Assists with the LVC architecture
• Address emerging technical and architecture questions regarding the Live (aircraft)-Virtual (simulations)-Constructive (synthetic threat) LVC elements
• Sets up processes for configuration control of interfaces between the TCTSII ground system and weapons models/constructive entity generating software systems
• Sets up processes for configuration control of the interfaces between the TCTSII system and the aircraft.
• Plan for and implement the PMA-205 portions of the LVC Capabilities Requirements Document (CRD)
• Guides the engineering development of modern complex systems

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university
• ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience
• At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems.
• Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communications and teamwork skills working in a collaborative environment
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility a plus.
• This position will require access to SAP and most likely SCI programs.
• Must be a US Citizen

Compensation Statement

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $148,300.00 - $164,400.00
