Job summary

Parsons seeks a Sr Systems Engineer to lead cybersecurity assessments and oversee complex hardware/software integration for DoD systems. You will apply systems engineering principles, analyze requirements, and develop operational concepts to support space and defense projects.

In this role, you will contribute to architectural views, perform vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers. Occasional travel may be required.

Job Description LCAT Description Provides technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and perforning technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis. Implements comprehensive SOA solutions. Implements operational view, technical standards view, and system and services view for architectures using applicable DoDAF standards. Position Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to leverage your existing systems engineering and cybersecurity knowledge to lead and perform in depth vulnerability assessments, identify threats and develop mitigations of weapons and space systems under the US Combatant Commands (COCOM's).

What You'll Be Doing:

* Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) mindset to perform DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities.

• Perform long term, in depth vulnerability assessments leveraging systems engineering principals and knowledge, utilizing any available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture.
• Leverage your interpersonal skills to foster relationship development with our customers to gain additional insights, information, and documentation to improve our ability to accomplish our mission.
• May serve as a team facilitator in providing technical guidance to technical support, technical writers, and others.
• Gathers business and product functional and performance requirements.
• Defines and designs complex and difficult system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. * Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
• Authors technical whitepapers on approaches to the client's operational needs, and as a basis for future development and proof of concept. * Infrequent travel (CONUS and OCONUS)
