Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in a Data Center/Cloud discipline.
• 8+ years of system administration in Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi, and HA/DRS clusters.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-availability server and data center infrastructure.
• Provide expert administration for Windows, RHEL, and Cisco UCS environments.
• Collaborate with customers to define technical requirements aligned to mission objectives.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Iron Bow Technologies is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and provide subject matter expertise, leadership, and insight on advanced server and data center infrastructure to our Government client. Emphasis on deploying and managing advanced infrastructure solutions partner technologies and service delivery. The position is located in Ramstein AB, Germany and will provide direct onsite support..

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Design, implement, and maintain high-availability VMware vSphere clusters and server infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level administration for Cisco UCS, RHEL Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Work closely with customers to consultatively build technology requirements around mission and business objectives.
• Leverage automation solutions for server provisioning.
• Actively research, evaluate and drive data center technologies and solutions to solve customer needs.
• Manage solution deployment adhering to modern industry best practices.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize various project deliverables.

SKILLS THAT DRIVE SUCCESS

• BS and 10+ years of Data Center or Cloud-related systems engineering and delivery experience. Experience can substitute education.
• To include 8+ years of system administration experience in Windows, RHEL, Cisco UCS
• Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and High Availability (HA)/DRS clusters.
• Experience managing virtual networking (vSwitches, distributed switches) and integrating with backend storage solutions (vSAN, NFS, or iSCSI).
• Deep understanding of AD Domain Services, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP to maintain a secure and organized identity infrastructure.
• Expertise in RHEL security best practices, Red Hat Satellite, troubleshooting kernel-level issues, managing logical volumes (LVM), and optimizing system performance for hosted applications.
• Deep understanding of data center technologies and solutions.
• Experience with automation solutions such as Ansible, Terraform, Python a bonus.
• Excellent oral presentation skills and ability to present in front of small to large audiences.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize various project deliverables, committed in meeting target deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Security+CE or equivalent IAT II certification required.
• US Citizen with Secret security clearance required.
• Certifications are highly desired: VCP, RHCE, or equivalent.
• Vendor and product certifications are desired: VMWare, Red Hat, Microsoft.
