Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJoin Our Team: Sr. Systems Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams in defining requirements, integrating systems, and driving the development of next- multicolor flow cytometry instruments and assays. What You’ll Do:

As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in product development, verification/validation (V&V), and risk management while ensuring the seamless performance of our cell analyzers, sorters, and associated assays.

  • Develop and manage system requirements and specifications.
  • Assess design feasibility, test product functionality, and drive iterative improvements.
  • Design and execute test methods to validate product performance.
  • Provide critical feedback on software workflows and instrument performance.
  • Analyze and interpret data to ensure compliance with product requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex flow cytometry instruments with expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with Systems and R&D teams to drive innovation.
  • Contribute to regulatory compliance, risk management, and design transfer activities.

What You Bring:

We’re looking for a problem solver with a passion for precision and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • 5+ years of experience in medical device/in vitro diagnostics product development.
  • Strong understanding of flow cytometry, hematology technology, and related products.
  • Experience in writing and managing system requirements.
  • Broad technical knowledge across electrical, mechanical, optical, software, and biomedical engineering.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with Human Factors and Usability Engineering standards.
  • Experience with System Engineering tools (e.g., Jira, JMP, TestRail, HelixALM).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of flow cytometry principles.
  • Expertise in risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with design transfer activities.
  • Familiarity with Cytek Aurora and Spectro-Flo software.
  • Leadership experience managing small teams (3-4 members).

What to Expect:

This role involves working in a high-tech environment that may require handling biological materials (human blood or cells), high-energy light sources (lasers), and voltage-based systems. Candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. when needed.
