Responsibilities
- Provide advice, guidance, and expertise to promote adoption of methods and tools, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate methods and tools at the project and team level, including tailoring and reviews of benefits and value. Contribute to organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for methods and tools.
- Perform critical administrative tasks for Google Cloud Platform, including management of network perimeter, permissions, and cloud resources used for sensitive clinical data scenarios.
- Collaborate with offshore infrastructure teams to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Demonstrate creativity and initiative in problem-solving; resolve or facilitate resolution of complex problems for assigned programs.
- Support daily operations across a large Azure virtual infrastructure platform.
- Act as a conduit and representative of the Cloud Infrastructure Team, providing escalation and resolution functions for senior management as needed.
- Support cost control and security enhancements for public Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Provide exceptional customer service to end users, stakeholders, and IT team members.
- Support daily production activities for VMWare, Azure, and AWS services.
- Participate in team on-call rotations.
- Perform patching and code deployments across environments.
- Lead projects related to software enhancement, upgrades, patches, or new implementations.
- Coordinate with various IT teams for implementation and support efforts.
- Oversee and facilitate the change management process for the System Engineering team.
- Review, recommend, and monitor source code and version management, adhering to guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership and ownership across disciplines and technologies.
- Assist in strategic planning activities such as capacity planning, process improvements, and roadmaps, under oversight.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
- Identify automation opportunities and develop scripted solutions.
- Seek out and propose technical innovations and process improvements.
- Develop system and support performance metrics using standard tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities through team motivation and training.
- Understand and incorporate CommonSpirit Health’s business processes and routines.
- Manage crises during high-severity operational incidents.
- This role is remote eligible.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT or infrastructure fields.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and UNIX operating systems.
- Understanding of networking and security technologies like TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and authentication.
- Basic knowledge of storage networks and testing methodologies.
- Experience with Azure, GCP, Terraform preferred.
- Experience with datacenter design, vendor management, problem management, software deployment, networking, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
- 5-7 years of experience in vendor management.
- Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with software patching, deployment tools, and complex distributed environments.
Pay Range
$45.95 - $66.63 /hour
