Position Overview

The Integrated Sensors Architecture (ISA) enables sensors and systems to integrate into existing networks and share information dynamically, enhancing battlefield situational awareness. Managed by the US Army PEO IEW&S, ISA supports net-centric system-of-systems integration.

We are seeking a Sr. Systems Architect to support our ISA team. The role involves transforming customer interoperability standards using Enterprise Architecture (EA) processes and techniques, with a focus on DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF 2.02) and stakeholder engagement in systems architecture and interoperability.

Responsibilities

1. Create and publish DoDAF Architectural Artifacts using SysML and Magic Draw, coordinating with US Army/DoD Enterprise and Systems Architects.
2. Collaborate with various DoD agencies and commands to design, document, and publish US Army/DoD Enterprise Architecture following DoDAF methodology.
3. Serve as a top-level technical or functional expert in Enterprise Architecture.
4. Follow DoDAF, CJADC2, and other DoD/Joint architecture planning instructions.
5. Document current “as-is” architecture for DOD and DA networks and data centers through logical and physical maps.
6. Coordinate activities to ensure stakeholder alignment with PEO IEW&S goals.
7. Manage and monitor tasks independently as directed by the PEO IEW&S Directorate.
8. Assess impacts of proposed architectures or guidance from DoD, Military Services, and other agencies.
9. Prepare high-level briefs and dissemination products.
10. Support knowledge management and strategic cohesion across projects.
11. Establish effective communication with stakeholders.
12. Travel up to 25% as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with DoDAF Architectural Framework and SysML tools like Magic Draw.
• At least 8 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or related roles.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Visio, and Project.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• FEAC Institute Certifications (CEAP Yellow Belt, ACEA Green, CEA Black Belt).
• Experience with DoD organizations such as Army Futures Command, TRADOC, and COCOMs.
• IAT Level II / IAM Level I certifications (e.g., Security+ CE).
